About Hoffman Town Center

Hoffman Town Center is a vibrant mixed-use urban center in historic Alexandria, Virginia, adjacent to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station and within three blocks of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office campus and the U.S. Federal District Courthouse.

As one of Alexandria's largest retail and entertainment centers, Hoffman Town Center provides a true mix of uses in an urban environment including high quality office space, extensive retail and entertainment venues, hotel facilities, and a broad range of residential opportunities provided in signature towers. The dynamic of these balanced uses will insure an active and exciting environment for office workers, residents, shoppers, and visitors alike.

Comprised of more than 7 million square feet of building area spread over 56 acres, Hoffman Town Center is by far the most significant component of the City of Alexandria’s award-winning East Eisenhower Small Area Plan. The plan defines allowable development within the eastern half of the Eisenhower Valley, and the Hoffman Town Center is its most vital element. When complete in 2020, the Hoffman Town Center will feature:

  • 3.5 million square feet of Class A office space in 10 buildings,
  • 1.5 million square feet of residential space in four residential towers,
  • Two full-service hotels,
  • 200,000 square feet of retail stores and restaurants, and
  • A 22-screen AMC Theater.

Developed by The Hoffman Company, our emphasis is on creating a dynamic core of evening and daytime active uses. More than 350,000 square feet of retail, entertainment and dining venues will anchor Hoffman Town Center, serving as the focal point of activity for both the Eisenhower Valley and the surrounding area.

The buildings and structures of the town center are arranged along an urban grid of streets that provide excellent vehicular circulation and comfortable walking environments for pedestrians. The tallest and largest buildings are situated together in immediate proximity to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station, as part of efforts to reinforce the urban vitality of converging uses.

Hoffman Town Center is strategically located off the Telegraph Road and Eisenhower Avenue interchanges of Interstate I-495/Capital Beltway. Additional ingress and egress ramps from the Beltway into the development are now under construction at the Mill Road and Telegraph Road exits. Coupled with abundant parking for all planned uses and a Metro Station centrally located within our development, we provide unparalleled access to and from major government and business centers throughout the greater Washington Metropolitan area.

Hoffman Town Center offers a wide range of opportunities for office users, including build-to-suit headquarters and Class A, multi-tenanted environments. Residential properties will include rental as well as ownership venues.

With an established retail, dining and entertainment facility already drawing thousands—combined with planned high-end retail and hospitality uses—Hoffman Town Center represents a truly urbane environment that is one of the premiere 21st century addresses in Northern Virginia.
